Reposition of Barbara Boloix’s conference on Nazari women by the Athenaeum of Granada

On June 3, 2020, the Athenaeum of Granada issued, within its section on “Feminismos”, a reposition of Barbara Boloix Gallardo’s conference on “The Nasrid Woman: Life, Presence and Identity”. This reproduction, which was made by live video conferencing, was followed after a debate between the said researcher and the online audience on the content offered and the progress made in this regard during the development of the NAZAMER project.

Barbara Boloix participates in “Talking history” on Nasrid sultanas

The PI of our project, Barbara Boloix Gallardo, participated today (Sunday, June 21) in the program “Talking History”, which wasbroadcasted by the radio news station of Ireland. In this program, dedicated to the Alhambra Palace in Granada “The Alhambra: a History”,, the aforementioned researcher spoke precisely  about the role played by the Nasrid dynasty´s women in many aspects of the Caliphate’s public life, such as the famous Sultana Fatima, as well as some of the identifying characteristics of Nasrid slaves in the Peninsula.
